Two years after their breakup, Lia proposes a simple game to her former partner —one that might change the course of their lives forever.
They will photograph their lives simultaneously, capturing whatever unfolds around them at the very same moment. If their images echo one another—if unexpected connections and synchronicities emerge between them—they will take it as a sign to reunite.

My artistic research focuses on our human nature in the digita age. It is common in the developement of my projects that images give in to comunication needs, distorting sometimes the photographic media itself. Spaces, subjective photography and construction of concepts, through visual displays, forms the nature of the work I do.
Destiny, natural behaviour, sensible intuition, nature, self-awareness learning, tradition, the unusual and sense-emotion dicothomy are some elements that shape my work.

This work consists in the compilation and transcription of academic dictionaries in the pages of which you can find the definitions of photography and digital. This work shows 5 definitions found in dictionaries of the 80’s, 90’s and the first decade of this century.

L’home del Sac (The Sack Man)

Technique: Medium format analogue photography
The path to survive in the Pyrenean and Pre-Pyrenean area has historically consisted of eliminating borders and turning the mountain into a place with no limits. From the Second World War and Spanish Civil War and until the Carlist era, the Pyrenean border has been crossed by thousands of people. Routes by foot, intertwining paths, shelters and houses where 'paquetaires' and smugglers followed clandestine paths, most often collaborating with neighbors and locals, in order to survive.
Crossing the mountain range, at the Oriental Pyrenean side, I walked the Alta Cerdanya's paths and routes that my ancestors followed; shepherds, smugglers and, most especially, mountain men and women. 'L'Home del Sac' (The Sack Man) is an image series composed of fragments of landscape in different directions along this nearly 30 Km-long route.

Back to Basics
Year: 2010-2013
Technique: Film Photography. Digital Print 50x60 cm and photo projection.
Back to Basics is a project that explores human nature though the natural poetic world that surrounds us. This work is a tour through an emotional landscape, our own, guided by an outdoor landscape. Based on the literary work 'Nature', by American transcendentalist Ralph Waldo Emerson, I have created three sets of pieces which have been built from the confrontation between two factors that influence our behavior: genetics and learning.
